Meet Ann.
Author. Founder. Builder. Believer.
Ann Lopez is an interior designer, entrepreneur, wife, mom, and woman of faith who knows a thing or two about starting over.
After nearly two decades in corporate America, she walked away from a successful career to pursue a dream she'd carried since childhood. Today, she's the founder and CEO of Studio 790, the nationally recognized interior design firm she founded in Miami in 2019.
But her story isn't just about building a business. It's about the unexpected turns, heartbreaks, answered prayers, and moments of faith that have shaped the woman she's become.
And now, she's sharing what she's learned in Renovate.

I believe the best is ahead.
I've always been a dreamer. A doer. A woman who believes God created every one of us with gifts, purpose, and an assignment that's bigger than ourselves.
But life doesn't always unfold the way we planned. Sometimes the things we worked so hard to build fall apart. Sometimes a life looks perfectly fine from the outside and feels completely different on the inside. And sometimes God invites us into a season of change we never would have chosen.
I've experienced all of it.
And I've learned we don't have to stay where we are. We can grow. We can heal. We can dream again. I wrote Renovate not because I've figured everything out — but because I've seen what happens when we invite God into the process and are willing to do the work.
I renovate homes for a living. Then God started renovating me.
For nearly twenty years I built a career in luxury hospitality. Underneath it was a dream I'd carried since I was a little girl: to become an interior designer. At 39, with no design degree and a whole lot of faith, I made the leap — and started what would become Studio 790.
Then life took turns I never saw coming. Four miscarriages. The ending of marriages. The challenges of motherhood. Rebuilding my life while growing a business.
Somewhere along the way I noticed the same principles I use on every project were showing up in my own life. We walk through. We create a vision. We assemble the team. We remove what can't stay. We build. We install. And eventually we stand back and see something beautiful that didn't exist before.
That's the heart of Renovate.

Which stage of renovation are you in?

One of the last things my dad asked me to do was write a book.
On May 31, 2023, I sat with my dad in the living room of my childhood home in Illinois. He'd been battling cancer for two years. We talked about Zoey, my business, fishing — all the ordinary things that become extraordinary when you realize how precious time is. Then he said something I'll never forget.
"Annie, you sure are a good writer. You should write a book. I think you could help other people with everything you've done and been through."
The next morning, my dad passed away. Renovate is the result of that encouragement — and a deep conviction that our stories, especially the difficult chapters, can be used for something meaningful.
For Zoey. And for every woman coming after us.
I'm writing this book for women everywhere, but one little girl has been on my heart through every chapter — my daughter, Zoey.
I want her to know her life has purpose. That God created her with gifts only she can bring. That failure isn't final, heartbreak doesn't disqualify her, and her past doesn't determine her future. And I want her to see a mom who didn't just talk about faith, courage, and purpose — but lived them.
The lives we build don't just impact us. They impact the people watching us build them.
Your story isn't finished.
Whatever season you're in, whatever you've walked through, and whatever dreams you've put on hold, I hope Renovate reminds you that God is still working.
There's more to discover. More to learn. More to build.
And I believe the best is ahead.
