RenovateA new book by Ann Lopez

The life you were made for is yours to build—with God.

Renovate is a practical, faith-filled guide to taking an honest look at the life you're living, discovering who God created you to be, and doing the work to build what's next.

Whether you're standing in the middle of a season you never saw coming, feeling stuck in a life that looks good on paper, or carrying a dream you can't shake, this book will help you figure out what stays, what needs to go, and what you're ready to build with God.

Written For

For the woman who knows there's more.

You've spent years building a career, raising a family, and carrying everyone else's dream but your own. Now there's a quiet sense that something is missing — and you're not sure what it is yet.

You don't have to know where you're going to begin. You just have to be willing to get honest about where you are.

Renovate is for the woman who believes her past doesn't have to determine her future. Whether you've walked with Jesus for years or your faith is complicated, there's a seat at the table.

  • Your life looks pretty good on paper — but deep down, you know something is missing.

  • You're in the middle of a season you never saw coming: a loss, a change, a door that closed.

  • You've spent years supporting everyone else's dreams, and you're not sure where yours went.

  • You're carrying a dream you can't shake — and the fear, comparison, or doubt that keeps you from moving.

What if you approached your life the way you would renovate a home?

I've spent years walking through homes — identifying what works, discovering what doesn't, and helping people imagine what their spaces could become.

Before any renovation, we take an honest look at what's there. We study the foundation, create a vision, build the right team, and decide what stays, what goes, and what we'll build in its place.

The same principles we use to renovate homes can help us renovate our lives.

Because sometimes the life we're living no longer reflects the woman we're becoming. We get comfortable with what isn't working, hold on to what God is asking us to release, and forget to imagine where we could go.

Renovate is an invitation to do the work — to get honest, to dream again, and to build a life that reflects who God created you to be.

You were designed on purpose, for a purpose.

You don't need a new life. You need to uncover and then build the one God designed for you.

Inside

Seven parts.
Seven stages of a renovation.

The same order a real renovation follows — from the first honest walkthrough to the final reveal.

  1. 01
    The Walkthrough

Get honest about where you are.

Before you can build something new, you need to understand what you're working with. Examine your life, your habits, your relationships, your fears, and the things you've learned to tolerate. Recognize what's healthy, what isn't working, and where change may be needed.

  2. 02
    The Blueprint

Discover who God designed you to be.

Get clear about your gifts, your purpose, your dreams, and the life you're being called to build. Create a vision rooted in faith, intention, and the woman God created you to become.

  3. 03
    The Team

You weren't meant to build alone.

The people around you matter. Learn how to build a community that supports your growth, challenges you, encourages your faith, and helps you move toward what's next.

  4. 04
    The Demo

Make room for what comes next.

Some things can't come with you into your next season. Identify the limiting beliefs, unhealthy habits, destructive patterns, and unnecessary commitments that need to be released or removed.

  5. 05
    The Build

    Turn your vision into action.

A beautiful blueprint means very little if you never begin building. Learn to move forward with faith, discipline, courage, and practical action.

  6. 06
    The Installation

Make the transformation part of your everyday life.

Lasting change isn't just about one big decision. It's about the habits, rhythms, relationships, and daily choices that support the life you're building.

  7. 07
    The Reveal

Celebrate what God has done—and use your story to serve others.

Look at how far you've come, recognize God's faithfulness, and discover how your transformation can encourage, equip, and impact the people around you.

Renovate — the book
Inside the book

This isn't a book you just read. It's a book you work through.

Every renovation requires more than a beautiful vision. It requires decisions, commitment, and a willingness to do the work.

Through personal stories, biblical wisdom, practical lessons, honest reflection, and prayer, Renovate will challenge you to examine the life you're living and take meaningful steps toward the one you were created for.

Each chapter includes Walk It Out, an opportunity to put what you're learning into practice, and Talk With God, a prayer to help you invite Him into the process.

Read it at your own pace. Take notes. Revisit the chapters that challenge you. And most importantly, don't just read about change. Participate in it.

Personal Stories

Talk With God
A prayer at the end of each chapter to invite God into your renovation.
An excerpt from the book · The Walkthrough
“Good designers don't assume everything has to go. Sometimes the original hardwood floors are stunning. Sometimes the bones are incredible. The goal isn't to tear everything apart. The goal is to discover what should stay, what needs to change, and what God wants to rebuild.”

About Ann

I know a thing or two about starting over.

I've spent much of my life building things. A career in luxury hospitality. An interior design company. A family. A community. And more than once, I've found myself having to rebuild parts of my own life I never expected to lose.

I've experienced beautiful beginnings, heartbreaking endings, answered prayers, unexpected detours, and moments when I had absolutely no idea what God was doing.

But I've also learned that our stories don't have to end where something fell apart.

Renovate was born out of my own experiences, my faith, and years of helping people transform the spaces they call home. It's also a book my dad encouraged me to write just hours before he passed away.

I don't have all the answers. But I've learned a few things about dreaming, doing, trusting God, and starting again. And I want to share them with you.

The after

The best is ahead.

Imagine what could happen if you stopped allowing your past to define your future. If you started using the gifts you've been given. If you stopped postponing the things God has placed on your heart.

If you built healthier habits, stronger relationships, a deeper faith, and a life that actually reflects who you were created to be.

Not a perfect life. Not a life without challenges. A life lived with greater purpose, courage, intention, and faith.

That's what we're building toward.

Your renovation starts here

Your next chapter is waiting.

You don't have to know exactly what your future will look like. You don't need every answer, every resource, or a perfectly mapped-out plan. But you can start getting honest about where you are, what needs to change, and who God created you to become.
